Jump Shot or Jumper: Tiro en suspension

Foul shot or Free-throw: Tiro libre  /  To convert: anotar

Lay-up: Bandeja tocando el tablero Dribbling Layup: bandeja driblando hacia canasta. Finger Roll: bandeja deslizando el balón con un toque de dedos para que gire. Running Layup: bandeja en carrera. 

Hook Shot: Gancho Sky Hook: gancho (al estilo Abdul-Jabbar). 

Follow-through: Continuación del brazo en el tiro tras liberar el balón

Three-Point Shot, three pointer, three: Tiro de 3

Nothing but net: (tiro) limpio. Nail a shot: enchufar/clavar un tiro 

Reverse Dunk: mate a aro pasado. Reverse Layup: bandeja a aro pasado. 

Airball: agua, tiro que no toca aro. 

Bank Shot: Tiro a tablero  CLEAN BOARD (SHOT): (tiro) limpio a tabla. OFF-BOARD SHOT: tiro a tablero (UK).
Tip in, tip shot: Palmeo
Inside shot: Tiro interior
Misses/Makes: Fallos/Aciertos (tiros)
Outside Shooting: Tiro exterior
Set shot: Tiro posicional
Alley-oop: recibir pase en el aire, y sin tocar el suelo hacer un mate
Brick: pedrada. 
Buzzer Beater, at the buzzer: tiro ganador sobre la bocina. 
Circus Shot: tiro imposible, tiro a la remanguillé. 
Fade Away: tiro hacia atrás.
Follow up dunk: mate cogiendo el balon en el aire tras rebote ofensivo. 
For the win/game: para ganar.
Hail Mary Shot: tiro muy lejano a la desesperada para ganar partido. 
Ill-Advised Shot: tiro forzado.

In-your-face: (Literal) en tu cara.

Long Three: triple de larga distancia. 
Long-Range: larga distancia.
